St. Lucia, "the Helen of the West Indies", is located in the Windward islands, 14 degrees Latitude, 61 degrees Longitude, beside the Caribbean Sea. It boasts numerous beautiful sandy beaches along the coast with lush vaulting forests in the interior.
A subtropical climate, with an average high of 87 F and a low of 77 F, ensures year round sunshine with some extra rain during the rainy season from June to October. It's 238 square miles makes it the second largest, with Dominica first, of the Windwards.
It is situated about 25 miles north of St. Vincent at it's southern tip and 25 miles south of Martinique in the north. Being only a 5 hour flight from New York or Toronto, combined with it's majestic setting, makes it an ideal tropical escape.
